What is the horse?
A horse is a mammal of the family Equidae. Herbivorous, quadruped and long, arched neck. The horses belong to the Equidae family, where we also find the donkeys and zebras.
A female is known by the name of mare and foal or foals pup if it is male and if female filly. The horse reaches sexual maturity at 4 years. Gestation lasts about 11 months and the female gives birth to one calf (the birth of twins is rare as the births of three or more foals and mares is more common in the elderly).
They have a lifespan of 25 to 40 years in captivity and released live around 25 years. It is normal in any case live more.
Not reach maturity until age 4 when they stop being colts or fillies, at this age are beginning to tame and ride. At 4 years old are considered adult horses. A healthy horse can be ridden well into their 20s.
